DESCRIPTION
A performance turbo downpipe upgrade is a great way to complement your sport cat-back exhaust system. By reducing the exhaust backpressure, our 3.5" Ferrita downpipe upgrade will provide a smoother flow of exhaust gases, quicker turbo spool-up, additional performance and a motorsport tuned exhaust note. Experience gains up to 6.7% (+20) HP and 9.2% (+38lb/ft) Torque at the wheels with just installing our performance downpipe upgrade!
The dyno chart above is from a 2015.5 V60 Polestar model and compares a stock ("Baseline") HP/Torque curve vs. just our 3.5" Performance Downpipe upgrade ("Max") HP/Torque curve. Your results may vary based on fuel quality, ambient climate conditions, dyno brand/model and other conditions.
Ferrita downpipes are manufactured to the highest level of quality to outlast the life of the car. Downpipe components include fully mandrel bent 3.5” piping (304 non-magnetic stainless steel), pre-cat flex pipe in AISI 409 stainless steel, original oxygen (O2) sensor and hanging points and a 200-cell performance high-flow catalytic converter (metallic core). A 3.5” pre-cat/3" post-cat piping couples to dual 2½” piping to allow for seamless installation with either the original, stock cat-back system or the Cat-Back Performance Exhaust System. Manufacturing facilities are ISO 9001 certified, ensuring the highest quality and safety of all manufactured products. Our Performance Downpipes come with a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects.
**Please note that some vehicles can be sensitive and trigger a Check Engine Light due to the High Performance Catalytic Converter that is fitted on our downpipe. This can be fixed by installing the included rear O2 Sensor Spacer. The Rear O2 spacer is made up of steel that is coated in nickel to aid in corrosion protection.
**Note: New bolts and nuts will need to be purchased from your local hardware store. The factory downpipe has pressed in studs that cannot be re-used. You will need QT 6 M8 x 40mm hex bolts, split washers, and nuts.
