Volvo S90 Crowned AAA's Best Overall Vehicle

Every year, the American Automobile Association, AAA, releases a list of their top-rated cars. For their 2020 Car Guide, AAA ranked the 2020 Volvo S90 T8 as their overall winner. 

The S90 was given the win in AAA's large vehicle category as well, which does not include SUV's or minivans. As a large car, you'd think the S90 would have adequate storage capacity. Well, according to AAA it does not as it was the only category Volvo's flagship scored poorly in. 

If space is a concern, the V90 T8 offers the same features in a wagon variant.

Safety Beyond The Pavement

With concerns about COVID-19, Volvo has extended their safety practices to the showroom. At Volvo dealerships, you can be assured that all health precautions are being taken. 

Volvo has implemented signage throughout for safety processes and foot-traffic directions. Keys have been bagged for one-time use and a nine-step sanitation process has become standard for every service, test drive, and walk-around.

Volvo Makes Moves Towards Carbon Neutrality

By 2025, Volvo has hopes of having carbon neutral manufacturing. This would reduce their carbon footprint by 40% from what it was in 2018. By 2040, Volvo hopes to be completely carbon neutral. 

The Volvo Cars manufacturing plant in Chengdu, China is now powered by 100% renewable energy. The plant in Chengdu is Volvo Cars' largest manufacturing plant in the country. This brings their global manufacturing network's electricity mix to 80%. 

Volvo will continue to strive towards reducing tailpipe emissions through hybrid and all-electric automobiles. If you'd like to read more on how Volvo is moving towards carbon neutrality, you can in their press release.
