High Performance Turbo Control Valve (TCV) Upgrade:
Premature failures of turbo control valve units are common on many different types of Volvo's and can lead to reduced boost output and poor performance. Our high performance turbo control valve is a direct replacement/upgrade for Volvo TCV part number 30670449. ViVA Performance's exclusive high performance TCV is capable of handling upwards of 40psi of boost on a daily basis without the risk of premature failure, greatly exceeding the boost pressure limits of the factory TCV.
How our High Performance TCV is Different:
Our TCV was developed specifically for high performance automotive applications to endure not only high boost pressures, but more importantly, high operating temperatures. Other TCV units advertised as "heavy duty" in the market use commonly available industrial pressure solenoids. While these industrial solenoids are capable of handling high boost pressure ranges, they are designed for operating temperatures not meant to exceed 120° F. If you ever open your hood after a spirited drive, you will find that the temperature in the engine bay is significantly greater than 120° F, thereby causing frequent failures of "heavy duty" TCV solenoids. This is how our High Performance TCV is different: Our High Performance TCV is made specifically for use in automotive applications, and has an operating temperature exceeding 120° F and operating pressures of up to 40psi.
