DESCRIPTION
Snabb Ultimate Front Mount Intercooler Kit ("Ultimate FMIC Kit") is a comprehensive upgrade of all turbo intercooler components from the turbo outlet to the throttle body intlet for your S60R/V70R from 2006-2007 w/ Coupler Style K24.
Designed for the performance minded enthusiast who demands more power than the stock Volvo intercooler system was designed for, the Ultimate FMIC Kit replaces your factory intercooler(s) and all the charged air hot/cold piping, and provides lower air intake temperature, increases throttle responsiveness and increases overall engine performance (horsepower/torque) run after run, with no heat soak! The Ultimate FMIC Kit is available in several variants to allow fitment on a wide range of P2 Volvo models across many model years. Refer to Snabb Vehicle Fitment Chart below for more details.
FMIC Intercooler Core Details:
The Ultimate FMIC Kit uses a custom designed 22x13x2.75" intercooler core with 2.5" inlet/outlet. The intercooler's core is designed to maximize cooling capability, bringing air from the top of the hot-side end tank, leading out the bottom of the cold-side end tank. Lower mounting brackets are welded on the intercooler for easy installation. In addition with Snabb Ultimate FMIC Kit, the intercooler is no longer sandwiched between the radiator and A/C condenser, and is moved in front of the A/C condenser for maximum cooling effect.
Intercooler Piping Details:
Factory charged air/intercooler pipe are primarily made of plastic and can crack over time, leading to significant boost leaks and performance loss. The factory pipes also have restrictive, accordion style flex joints that reduce engine performance. The Ultimate FMIC Kit replaces all factory plastic piping with custom made, fitment specific aluminum piping and silicone hoses!
- Black Powder Coated, 2.5" diameter, 6061-grade Aluminum Piping (2.75" at throttle body transition)
- Follows stock intercooler pipe routing to reduce interference/contact with hood and other engine components
- Custom designed, 5mm thick walled Black silicone hoses that feature 5-layers of silicone with 4-layers of Nomex reinforcement
- Turbo compressor outlet (hot-side) connection allows fitment for V-Band K24 turbocharger units
- MAP/IAT Sensor connection for MY 2003+ with a single, integrated MAP/IAT sensor
- 1/8" NPT bung is included on the throttle body charged air pipe, to facilitate water injection installation (optional)
